Officials resigned over “ghost employees” investigation at Philippine central bank, reports say
Two members of the Philippine central bank’s monetary board have resigned amid an ongoing investigation into “ghost employees” at the bank, national media reports.
Bruce Tolentino recently submitted his resignation letter to the president, the Philippine Star reported on June 5, citing unnamed sources. On June 8, it also reported that Anita Linda Aquino also submitted her resignation to the president, citing an unnamed official at the Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP).
