Hong Kong chief executive John Lee has brushed aside concerns that the special administrative region may fail to attract top financiers to a high-level summit in November, as the event will clash with Singapore’s fintech forum.

“We have long organised financial and technology summits in the past. Hong Kong has a competitive edge in this regard,” Lee told reporters when asked about the issue at a press briefing today (September 13).
