Acting US comptroller warns of threats to stability

Hsu defends preemption, federal oversight and increasing regulation for large banks

The acting US comptroller of the currency has said three trends are reshaping banking and threatening financial stability: the increasing number and size of large banks; the growing complexity of banks’ and non-banks’ relationships; and increasing political polarisation.
