British lawmakers ask BoE for latest Brexit analysis

Publication of previous analysis led to angry criticism by UK politicians

UK lawmakers have asked the Bank of England to provide them with “up to date and rigorous analysis” of the current possible Brexit outcomes.

Conservative member of parliament Nicky Morgan, who heads the Treasury Select Committee, asked the BoE and the Treasury today (July 18) to provide the information.

The UK is due to leave the European Union on October 31, but lawmakers have so far refused to ratify the deal negotiated by current prime minister Theresa May.
