Lagarde calls for stronger EU securities and markets authority
ECB president stresses completing capital markets union is essential to deal with deglobalization, ageing and climate change
European Central Bank president Christine Lagarde called for a stronger securities and markets authority as a step to complete the European capital markets union.
In a speech today (November 17), Lagarde said the capital markets union (CMU) is essential to respond to the challenges presented by deglobalisation, ageing of the population and climate change.
