National Bank of Denmark heads south ahead of Finnish mint’s impending closure

Denmark’s central bank is switching from Finland to Spain for the minting of its new coins.

In a statement on January 9, the National Bank of Denmark said it had chosen Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de La Moneda because it had the “most favourable” scores against its evaluation criteria. These included price, quality and corporate social responsibility.
