Currency round-up: De La Rue issues profit warning

London: De La Rue, the venerable British banknote production company, issued a profit warning today (April 12). The company said demand for banknotes has fallen to a 20-year low, a trend that is “causing a significant degree of uncertainty”.
The company said it would request changes to covenants it has with its banks, given higher interest rates.
