Irish central bank puts 'embarrassing' error on new Joyce coin
The Central Bank of Ireland faced embarrassment today as it emerged the literary quote reproduced on a collectors' coin launched yesterday in honour of the author James Joyce contained a stray extra word.
The quote from Ulysses, arguably Joyce's and Ireland's most famous novel, contained the phrase: "Signatures of all things that I am here to read", included a ‘that' which does not appear in the book.
The €10 coin, on sale at the central bank for €46 ($60), was designed by artist Mary Gregoriy
