Italy’s Visco promotes ‘deeper’ Europe
The governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, today (October 31) said the ultimate solution to the crisis in the eurozone is to complete the full construction of a united Europe.
Speaking in Rome on World Savings Day, Visco said it is crucial the European Central Bank is responsible for decisions regarding the banking sector as a whole, including the operation of the forthcoming single supervisory mechanism.
