Fed's Gramlich on rental housing challenges

In remarks on preserving and improving affordable rental housing, Edward Gramlich of the Federal Reserve said there is no shortage of questions to be asked about rental housing. More than likely, further discussion would expose further trouble spots, further rationales for support, and maybe even further evidence of progress. Whatever the case, he said, significant challenges are ahead in the struggle for an adequate supply of rental housing overall and an increased supply of affordable rental
