Vitas Vasiliauskas handed second five-year term
Lithuania: Vitas Vasiliauskas has been reappointed as governor and chairman of the board of the Bank of Lithuania. Vasiliauskas was handed a second five-year term by Lithuania's parliament on April 7, a spokesperson confirmed.
A lawyer by training, Vasiliauskas worked at Lithuania's ministry of finance between 1995 and 2004. He served successively as head of the tax recovery division, director of the tax department and vice-minister of finance.
