IMF releases informal briefings compiled in absence of Article IV

Argentina to undergo IMF article VI consultation later this year

The International Monetary Fund has released a host of informal briefings on Argentina compiled by staff between 2013 and 2015, after the Latin American nation requested their release.

The documents were compiled in absence of a formal Article IV consultation. The last one was conducted in 2006. Their release is an indication the relationship between Argentina and the Fund is on the mend.

They come with a few caveats. By their nature, the assessments are based solely on publicly available
