Madagascan deputy steps up to top job
The Madagascan government has reportedly appointed the central bank's deputy director-general as interim governor, following the unexpected passing of the previous acting governor last month.
Vonimanitra Razafimbelo has been made interim governor and director-general of the bank, a week ahead of presidential elections in the island nation. She also appears to be retaining her existing responsibilities as director of the bank's general administration.
