FSA’s Sants airs fears of overburdened BoE governor
Hector Sants, chief executive of the Financial Services Authority, who will leave his role at the end of June, has warned the future Bank of England (BoE) governor may be overburdened.
In an interview with the BBC, Sants discussed the reform of banking oversight in the UK, and said that while he was not concerned about the BoE being given too much power, "the risk is more that operationally this is going to be too difficult for one person to manage".
