Libya, Tunisia sign currency agreement

Libya and Tunisia have signed a currency exchange agreement of the Libyan and Tunisian Dinar.

This agreement signed by the two Governors of Libya Central Bank and Tunisian Central Bank, includes the arrangements of importing and exporting of banknotes in the Libyan and Tunisian dinar by citizens in both countries and exchanging these banknotes through banks and approved currency exchange offices, ljbc.net reported.

The Secretary of General People's Committee said in a statement to journalists on Sunday in Tripoli, following the conclusion of the 20th Session of the Joint Libyan-Tunisian Executive High Committee, that the Committee had taken several measures to be effected immediately, specially in trade field.

He made clear that the Committee agreed to activate all agreements and to lift all Tariff barriers and duties on goods exchange.
