Talks on Russian bank reforms

RUSSIA - Top national and international policymakers are set to meet at Russia's central bank today, Tuesday 11 Sep, to discuss options for restructuring the country's banks.

Mikhail Kasyanov, the prime minister, speaking yesterday at an investors' conference in Moscow, said that his government attached high priority to bank sector reform, and it would shortly develop a common approach to that of the central bank.

Experts from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the European Bank
