Eurozone slump may fail to subdue inflation

The Bundesbank warned on Monday that weaker growth may not adequately curb inflation.

Buba echoed European Central Bank (ECB) president Jean-Claude Trichet's grim growth outlook for the second half of the year in its latest Monthly Bulletin. But the central bank said that the slowdown would not necessarily reduce inflation to the ECB's implicit target of below but close to 2% in the medium term.
