Polish MPs move to bring Glapiński before tribunal

Government continues efforts to oust NBP governor despite major legal hurdles

Members of the Polish parliament submitted a motion on March 26 to bring National Bank of Poland (NBP) governor Adam Glapiński before a tribunal.

If the State Tribunal finds Glapiński acted improperly, he could be removed from office. However, the government would need to overcome several legal challenges to oust the governor, including a possible challenge in EU courts.
