National income not only determinant of reserve management staff numbers

Salaries ranged between $11,968–$138,768 among benchmark participants

The number of staff members in reserve management departments is not always correlated to the income level of central banks’ home countries.

Over the last year, department sizes have remained stable. The average is 30 among participating central banks. However, differences among individual institutions are large. Reserve staff ranged from 112 staff members in one high income European country and just two in one lower-middle income Latin American country.
