IMF postpones 2021 annual meeting in Morocco
Meeting will go ahead in Washington, DC, instead, with new Marrakesh date scheduled for 2022
The International Monetary Fund-World Bank annual meeting scheduled to be held in Morocco next year has been postponed for 12 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement, the IMF announced the event – previously set to be held in Marrakesh in October 2021 – had been rescheduled to 2022.
Central Banking understands the October 2021 meeting will occur in Washington, DC, instead, but a decision is yet to be made on whether the event will be in-person or virtual.
