Singapore’s Shanmugaratnam highlights growth opportunities in Asian insurance markets

Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, on Monday said further investment in research and talent was needed to develop Asia's insurance markets.

At the official naming ceremony of Axa Tower, in Singapore, Shanmugaratnam said: "It is critical that we invest in research needed to develop effective risk solutions. This is especially so for Asia, where the understanding of risks is less developed and the dynamics of risks are evolving quickly."
