Import prices no longer falling says BoE's Lambert

Bank of England MPC member Richard Lambert said on Thursday 23 June that there are signs that import prices, which have helped to keep inflation down, are falling.

"China and other developing markets have been holding prices down," Lambert, a member of the central bank's Monetary Policy Committee, said in an open discussion session in Liverpool.

"While the prices of services have been increasing, prices of goods have been declining because the prices of imported products have been falling, and
