Israel's Fischer praises bank fees reform

A recent reform of bank fees will increase competition and lower the costs for customers, said Stanley Fischer, the governor of the Bank of Israel.

A major part of the reform, which began two weeks ago, is increased transparency. Banks' tariffs, tables and calculators enabling customers to compare the costs of managing their current accounts, and other detailed information, are available on the central bank's website.
