New York Fed names new director of research

Joseph S. Tracy was named executive vice president and director of research of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Monday 6 December.

Mr. Tracy had been the acting director of research since February 2004 and senior vice president since January 2003. He also served as the senior administrative officer for the group since 2002.
