Bank of Japan board voted 8-1 to ease policy

JAPAN - The Bank of Japan (BOJ) on Tuesday released the minutes of its monetary policy meeting held on August 13-14.

The Bank of Japan's policy board were all firmly behind easing policy when the central bank surprised markets 14 August by easing monetary policy, minutes of the meeting showed Tuesday 25 September.

The board voted 8-1 for the easing and the lone dissenter, Nobuyuki Nakahara, wanted the BOJ to do even more, the minutes showed.

At the meeting, the board decided by the large majority
