Aisha Ahmad and Edward Adamu were both confirmed as deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria on March 22. The senate had previously refused to consider them in a protest against actions by president Muhammadu Buhari, who nominated both candidates.

The two now serve on the CBN’s five-person board, along with governor Godwin Emefiele and deputy governors Adebayo Adelabu and Okwu Joseph Nnanna.

Both Ahmad and Adamu took part in the meeting of the CBN’s monetary policy committee on April 4
