Kuroda: BoJ will do whatever necessary to hit 2% inflation
BoJ governor explains why 2% inflation is the right target
The governor of the Bank of Japan, Haruhiko Kuroda, today used a speech to the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to explain why the central bank's monetary policy is aiming for 2% inflation - addressing concerns around inflation and outlining the justifications for the level of the target.
Kuroda said various concerns exist around the return to inflation in Japan - including that "daily life will become difficult if prices go up" and "only prices might increase without an increase in wages
