Albanian governor promotes transparency

Ardian Fullani, the governor of the Bank of Albania, highlighted the central bank's efforts to create a more transparent monetary policy framework in a recent speech.

The central bank has so far:

disclosed the calendar of meetings where monetary policy decisions will be made;

set up a consultative body to review the actions of the monetary policy committee and to raise public awareness of the committee's actions;

stressed the importance of the inflation target as a core part of central bank
