RBA Financial Stability Review, March 2006

The Reserve Bank of Australia published the March 2006 edition of its Financial Stability Review on Tuesday 28 March. Recent developments have been largely favourable from a financial stability perspective, according to the latest Review.

With the world economy continuing to expand strongly, financial systems in most countries are in good shape. In Australia, the banking system remains well capitalised and highly profitable, with bad debt levels that are low by both historical and international
