IMF's Dawson announces plans to leave Fund

Thomas Dawson, the director of the International Monetary Fund's External Relations Department, told a press briefing on Thursday 23 June that he intends to leave the Fund in the next six or eight months.

"I have been here a little more than six years--or almost six years. It will be six years next month--next week, rather. It's been actually the longest I've ever held a job in my life, and after a lot of thought, I've come to the conclusion it's time to move on," Dawson said.
