Greenspan and King to receive Scottish honour

The University of Edinburgh will present Alan Greenspan and Mervyn King with honorary degrees at a graduation ceremony on 7 February.

The ceremony will be held at McEwan hall on Monday 7 February and Dr Greenspan will be delivering the Adam Smith Memorial Lecture in Kirkcaldy on 6 February.

Alan Greenspan - chairman of the US Federal Reserve - and Mervyn King - Governor of the Bank of England - will be awarded the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa.
