Malaysia denies working with China on currency

Malaysia's prime minister on Thursday 7 July denied speculation that his country and China are working together on changes to their currency exchange rates.

"Reports are reports, we have not done anything yet," Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told reporters, rejecting recent media reports on analysts suggesting that China and Malaysia may be coordinating moves in their tightly controlled currencies.

Abdullah said Malaysia's central bank governor, Zeti Akhtar Aziz, has not been to China
