British business calls on Bank to cut rates

One of the most influential lobbying groups for British businesses has urged the Bank of England to cut rates soon.

The British Chambers of Commerce, which represents businesses employing more than five million people, said that it is already forecasting two very difficult years for the country's firms. But this already grim forecast would become gloomier still if the Bank failed to cut before the end of the year.
