Nepal Rastra Bank has been introducing a number of different models to provide affordable financial services in an effort to increase financial inclusion, the central bank's governor has said.

Speaking at the 30th Seanza governors' symposium, Chiranjibi Nepal, underscored how developing countries lag behind the developed world when it comes to use of financial services. In 2014, 61% of Nepal's adult population have access to formal financial services.
