Most central banks use an enterprise-wide risk management approach as a safeguarding policy, the Risk Management Benchmarks 2024 show.
Three-quarters (75.8%) of the 33 participating central banks say they use the enterprise-wide philosophy to mitigate risk. Seven (21.2%) respondents say their approach is embedded in departmental decision-making. The dataset has just one institution that operates the damage limitation method. The respondent is an upper-middle income central bank from Europe.
